Superglide 120 Stair Lift by ACORN

The Superglide 120 is the best selling stair lift in the world. Acorn pioneered DC current (rechargeable battery) powered stair lifts. This innovation permits smoother starts/stops and allows the Superglide 120 to continue working even during a power blackout. Instead of a chain or cable, Acorn uses a rack and pinion drive working in conjunction with their unique double-tube rail chassis roller system. This results in a much more luxurious ride and a superb feeling of safety and stability when using the stair lift.

In most cases, it's cheaper to use two Acorn stair lifts on a stairway that changes direction instead of a single stair lift that uses an expensive, custom-built curved rail.

Mk1G Series Stair Lifts by MediTek

MediTek is known as the "go to" source if you want a heavy-duty stair lift. With a larger motor and a beefier chassis, the Mk1G 160 can handle a passenger weighing up to 350 pounds. The Perch option allows the user to stand safely while riding, but also offers a higher seating position that is easier on the knees and takes up less stairway space. MediTek's MultiFlight option allows the stair lift to ascend and descend stairways that have a curved path.
